What is the "Organization" session about?
The purpose of the "Organization" portion of Base Camp is for participants to lay the groundwork for student (and instructor) success in ANY modality!
Structuring your course
A well-organized course provides a clear path for students to progress. By providing structure and clear, welcoming instructions and information, students will be more comfortable and confident and will ask fewer logistical questions.

All Base Camp participants create:
- a Getting Started Module to provide guidance to students, personalized with your unique content.
- a course outline that aligns the elements of your course with MCCCD course competencies and learning objectives.
- the basic structure for your course.
Participating in Base Camp affords you the opportunity to reflect on your content, map out your course, and confer with the CTLA Canvas and instructional design experts if you need a little help.
